The game started in a lively manner when Gary decided to assault an opposing striker resulting in a penalty but no cards. He made amends by parrying the penalty and normal service was resumed. There was good link up play between Archie and Josh up front ably supported by Simon and Henry, the first half ending 0-0.

A much better start to the second half saw more possession from Peggy with the opposition failing to trouble the defence. Henry popped up in the 50th minute from the left to curl a shot into the right side of Norton's net to make it 1-0. This followed shortly afterwards by a great individual goal from Josh, once again underlining his class. Later, Robin skipped past a couple of men before laying off a pass to Paul who shot from 25 yards to make it 3-0. Only a late goalkeeping gaff involving the ball spinning through Gary's legs prevented a clean sheet. Overall a good turnout and solid start to the season with 3 points on the board.
